   Dear Mr. Baird

   We do not want the Waxman-Markey bill to pass. This is a hoax that Al Gore perpetuated along with other energy producers to generate fortunes. We have been energy savers, recyclers and careful of our carbon footprint; all of our lives. We are also smart enough to know there are very divergent opinions on Global Warming being a result of our living on our planet. This Cap and Trade bill is another way to raise the price of energy and collect tax revenues. We are in a cooling cycle, why should we waste more money? If anyone of our leaders actually read the information on this subject, they would know we have been in a cooling trend for the last 8 to 10 years and this is the normal cycle of our world. Just a decade ago scientists were talking about an”ice age.” We are tired of being scammed. Please defeat this bill.
