I was somewhat disappointed to hear that Donald Trump didn’t select Newt Gingrich to be his Vice Presidential running mate, although perhaps he will select him for another role. I think Newt has a lot to offer, and Donald Trump should take advantage of his knowledge and experience in some form. Now that Mike Pence has been announced as Trump’s running mate, I will have to research him, although it seems the three could work together well as a team in some capacity.

I think Newt Gingrich has a lot of experience with politics, and a lot of knowledge about the various players. I just watched a video interview where he discussed the situation with former Presidents Bush and also Mitt Romney stating that they are withholding support for Donald Trump if he’s the nominee. I have actually voted for all of them in the past, although I didn’t agree with Bush senior’s one world philosophy, but though the was better than the alternative at the time. Many voters have made compromises in the past when voting for these candidates, so as not to split the party vote, and I believe it’s incumbent upon all three of them to support Donald Trump as a candidate if he is the nominee.

Not sure why Newt ran for President in 2012. I don’t think his poll numbers were ever that high, due to the issues he had in his personal life over the years.
