As technology advances, our lifestyles become more comfortable but the impact we have on the environment continues to increase. In order to protect our planet and reduce the damage caused by our technologies, “green” energy is becoming more important. This is something that citizens as well as politicians are increasingly aware of.
Wind-based electricity produced by turbines in appropriate locations provide an excellent option for creating electricity with little waste. Though a fair amount of space must be used for such turbines, they provide clean energy and there are enough excellent locations for them.
Solar energy provides an alternative method for collecting energy in a relatively environmental-friendly fashion. Solar energy panels require a large amount of space, however, and are relatively inefficient for the space they occupy. If technology is refined and efficiency increased, it would become a great possibility for the future.
If citizens, businesses and politicians work together, green energy will pave the way into the future.
