    Rep. Meadows,
After reading/hearing about the huge (billions) of bullets ordered by Homeland Security, I believe, and the armored vehciles ordered by another dept., I had to wonder what was going on? There is no reason a dept. that is not connected with the military would need either the hugh amount of bullets or armored vehicles that have been ordered. What is going on? Why would the House fiance such a move? If this is being paid for out of a dept.s budget, can’t something still be done about it? Just a matter of concern here in NC.

I was redistricted from the 10th to the 11th district prior to the last election cycle. Mr Meadows, it is not only your job to represent us in Washington but to protect us from an encroaching Federal governmet. Please fulfill your oath to honor and protect the Constitution and do not be swayed by emotional pleas nor the allure of power.

ENOUGH! It is now time to do some sensible things about gun violence.

I support universal background checks on gun purchasers, closing gun show loophole, stopping sale of high capacity magazines and stopping sale of military style assault weapons (or equal).

I own my dad’s old 16 gauge shotgun, a 22 rifle and a handgun. I support the 2nd amendment and some sensible restrictions to reduce gun violence.

Votes on this legislation will be among a small number of issues that determine my vote in 20114.

Thank you for your consideration .

I hope you will fight the proposed amnesty legislation, and strongly support E-Verify.
I would be interested to learn your position on the above.
    Thank you.

Please support gun control measures. Citizens do not need assault rifles! Stop allowing the NRA to have so much influence and to stir up the fear factor of the paranoid. The govt. should have more gun power than it’s citizens. And the main concern of the NRA is not the citizens, it’s the gun industry. As a representative of the PEOPLE, get your priorities right.

Mark, congratulations on taking the Oath to Support and Defend the Constitution and thus becoming our NC 11th District Congressman. As a Constitutional Republic the Constitution is the law of the land and I look forward to you having the intestinal fortitude to hold your oath sacred. VP Biden is now hinting that Obama may try to use an Excutive Order to order gun control which will violate the Second Amendment. Should this occur I will look forward to you and other Representatives with intestinal fortitude to file an Article of Impeachment against him for using Executive Fiat in violation of his Oath of Office again.

Congressman Meadows, please stand strong against any upcoming gun legislation or any other proposed
legilation that threatens our rights as Americans, seems our currant government has little concern about conserving our rights and freedoms in our constituation.I would consider any kind of a ban on my rights to keep and bear arms an act of treason by our government,I am quickly loosing faith in our governments ability to make sound decisions concerning the people of America and our freedoms. If we take away any of our constituational rights were will it stop.I for one could never abide by these types of laws!

I hope that Representative Matthews will make sure that the federal government lives up to its promise to Swain County. For 2011 and 2012 they failed to pay the county the payments approved for the land they took from us. At this point I feel that the government is dishonest and never stands by its agreements. I hope you can force the National Park Service to pay us what was given to them in the past two years and make sure that the future payments are in the governmental budget.

    Congressman Mark Meadows,

Congressman Meadows welcome to the 11th district of North Carolina.

Avoiding the professed fiscal cliff has placed Republicans in awkward circumstances.Tea Party members were refereed to as Knuckleheads, removed from fiscal cliff committees, and scorned by their fellow Republicans for not supporting the fiscal cliff legislation. This offers forewarnings of the fight ahead for Tea Party Republicans.

Freshmen Congressional members are often strong-armed by their colleagues. Newly elected congressional members are under colossal pressures to keep campaign promises. Tea Party value legislators are struggling against a new world ideologically progressive Republican. Uncharacteristically, Republicans are encouraging sponsorship for socialist legislations.

Congressional Republicans blaming the Tea Party for the failed fiscal cliff vote, positions Tea Party representatives against both Republicans and Democrats. The newly elected Congress is entering an abnormally hostile environment.

Enormous pressures will sometimes separate one from their deepest principles. Tea Party values are the saving grace of American politics. My wife and I are life long resident of Asheville. The 11th district has long needed traditional value representation.

I’m looking forward to supporting you, Congressman Meadows, in your quest to preserve the Constitution and those rights for the 11th district and the United States of America.

    Sincerely,
    Jerry Soesbee
