Richard M. Nixon  (January 9, 1913 – April 22, 1994) was the 37th President of the United States from 1969-1974.Nixon resigned his position due to Water scandals and felt his resignation was for the “good of the country”.   He is the only president to have ever resigned from office. He previously served as a Republican is the offices of House of Representatives and Senator from California and Vice President.

    Yeah, Nixon’s story is most likely the most well known around the world, amazing how a US president could have ever acted like he did.

  3. I am surprised that this article solely refers to the Watergate scandal; Nixon was known for doing much more during his presidency than that. Nixon was able to balance ping pong diplomacy with China, the desegregation of the United States, and anti-ballistic measures with the then-Soviet Union. America was under his leadership the day man first stepped on the moon. It is unfortunate that he did commit such a grave error with Watergate as he could have achieved much more in my opinion.
