I was reading these comments just now, and I realized that at first there was no negative comments, then a few, and now all are negative. Hmm. I wonder why that is? Maybe it’s because of huge tax hikes like cap and trade, the sheer cost of healthcare that will leave some americans still un-insured, or meddling with economy, or the bailouts and stimulus, which I believe are both payoffs to the unions and others that helped get him into office.

He also called for a group of loyal patriots to be his private army. He then proceeded to take over all the major industries. He then made the country rely on him for everything like health care. I don’t like Obama not because he is black or a minority, I don’t like him because of where he stands on the issues. He is a ultra-liberal politican who came to power promising CHANGE, and never delivered. He spends our tax dollars faster than the Treasury can print money. When our healthcare cost go up due to the fees and mandates by the federal government, and we all end up with government run healthcare, will be personally take responsibility for all the people who will suffer and die going through US Healthcare? My mother and mother-in-law both died because of Massachusetts Healthcare constraints. We tried to bring them to Nebraska for better treatment, yet Mass denied them, stating they would have to pay for the treatments themselves. Both died of goverment neglect.

The intentions of the bill are grounded by excellent intentions. What overall effect it will have after opponents figure ways to make it not succeed???? I applaud the president and congress for actually seeing a problem and passing a bill to address it. Is this bill going to succeed? Honestly, all I care about is that someone has done something, not just add to a wish list. Just do me a favor and if the bill isn’t working, stand up and say so! Then work together to fix it or scrap it and try again. Whatever happens, please keep trying to actually DO something, anything, or we will continue to be a nation of ineffective political will and diminished direction.

Thanks for referring to this unlikely legislative win! From the p.o.v. of someone doing something to write historic deficiencies, it is noteworthy. We must not let the vast chasm between dysfunctional medicine and a real health care system infuse us with too much ire and deter us from trying to actual get something healthy into a national sick care and pharmaceutical profiteering system that in no way, shape, or form could be called 'healthy'. Wealthy yes, healthy no! But the Democrats and Obama included said in the same breath with their relief at passage of this major legislative that it is just a start and that we need to revisit it and do many more needed reforms to get to where we need to be. So we must all plug ahead and try to keep positive change going, especially against the militant hyena-like calls of psychologically unbalanced and immature Republican prima donnas who seem to revel in being jackasses (backwards Democrats?). Best to tie up such animal influences and refer back to the more noble and intelligent human spirit which Barack represents on a periodic basis! Interesting fact, the US / EPA, has rules for oil / gas spills. If you or I spill a gallon of gas on our lawn, and the authorities are alerted, the fine is about 50$ per gallon, not to mention the removal and disposal of contaminated soil, probably triple that amount. Total for one gallon of gas 200$.
The question is, will EPA enforce the rules, and fine BP? Some analysts say fines could be a minimum 4 Billion dollars!! BP has claimed they will pay to clean up this colossal catastrophe, I think they may pay clean up cost, but their lawyers will fight to lessen the fines, and will probably prevail.
There is one simple fact that BP has overlooked, THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, to pay for clean up and fines. This will be the test. Do we as a people stand up for our rights, and stop bowing to big business, or will we as we have done before, go on as if it’s all good, and no bother? This is high noon, the gun fight is on! If we let them (BP, big business) trample us, our value of life will be trampled also. Do not let anyone politicize this issue. Keep your eyes, on the prize, Reform. Reform, is what this country needs. We the People own this country, Not big business, we chose who we buy from or do business with. It’s high time, we do our business. Vote for Reform.
