  1. Phil says:

Newark is bad enough as it is without these corrupt leaders behind the scenes making things worse. Sharpe should be ashamed of himself.

Kids are killiing each other every day on the streets of Newark while Sharpe James fattens his wallet.

  2. CD Junior says:

Mr. James was an icon and a real role model to the kids. He was one of the first black Mayors of a big city and he was a fixture for something over 20 years in Newark. Of course he was taking advantage of the system like every single other professional politician does. And what he got back from his girlfriend for that 600 grand housing flip one can only imagine… .

But I could do a 10 times better job at reducing the gun violence in Newark and the city was in flames for a lot of his term. So in one way I have a lot of respect for him… on the opposite hand I see him as a hood who enjoyed the hi life while his people shot it out in the streets.

  3. S. Jameson says:

I think there was a movie about his last race for mayor. I remember when Newark burned bad during race riots in the late 1960′s. There have been some many hopes we could pull these people out of the fires. Sharpe did what he could but in the end everyone found out he was a crook. I can;t wait ti see photos of him behind bars. Instead of focusing on stealing he should have focused on helping the kids.
