
Mike Dale Beebe (born December 28, 1946) is the 45th and current Governor of Arkansas, since January 9, 2007. He was elected to a second term in 2010. Beebe is a member of the Democratic Party.
Beebe was born in Amagon, a small town in Jackson County, Arkansas. He was raised by his mother, a waitress, and never met his father. As a child, he moved often with his family. They lived in Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Houston and Alamogordo, New Mexico. They returned to Arkansas, and he graduated from Newport High School in 1964.
Beebe received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Arkansas State University in 1968, where he was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity. He earned a law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1972. Beebe served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He practiced law in Searcy in White County for ten years after his graduation from law school.
In 1982, he was elected to the Arkansas State Senate, where he would serve for 20 years. In 2002, he was elected Arkansas Attorney General, a position he held until getting elected Governor of Arkansas.

John Wright Hickenlooper (born February 7, 1952) is an American politician and current Governor of Colorado. A Democrat, he was previously the Mayor of Denver, Colorado from 2003 to 2011.Hickenlooper was born in Narberth, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, part of the suburban Main Line. Hickenlooper was raised by his mother after his father suffered a premature death.He is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he received a B.A. in English in 1974 and a master’s degree in geology in 1980.

Carte P. Goodwin served as Governor Joe Manchin’s chief counsel during his first term in office from 2005-2009 and was at one time the chairman (designated by Gov. Manchin) of the West Virginia School Building Authority. In 2009, Manchin appointed him chair of the Independent Commission on Judicial Reform, which studied the need for judicial reforms in West Virginia. In 2008, Goodwin was named one of the “Ten Most Successful Young Executives in West Virginia” by Executive magazine.
